I had a caller whose pet rabbit had just died, apparently right before called us. She was sobbing, poor gal. Well eventually she began to say she can take the rabbit to get cremated in the morning but she doesn’t know what to do with it overnight because she didn’t want to handle “her cold stiff body” in the morning. I gently asked if she had a box to temporarily put the rabbit in, thinking we do this for cats and birds and such as little coffins so why not rabbits. She squawked back, “put her in a BOX?! What is wrong with you?” Oopsy.
