Why do some ppl with a language barrier insist on getting through the call without a transfer or interpreter?

I never understood why. If we don’t understand each other why not let me get an interpreter on the line. It would make it so much easier to have things explained so they can fully understand what is going on with their account. I try so hard to understand what they are asking or what they want but sometimes I just can’t help if there is a communication barrier.
