Verging on a breakdown

[ad_1]

This might turn into a rant.

I’ve been at my job for 14 years, my colleague (and best friend) who had been here for 17 years, left for bigger and better things … go her!!!!

So now I am left with two new people who are fantastic but have a combined service of 6 months. They are fantastic and considering how many different pies we have our fingers in they are picking it up amazingly!!!

But they are still slow. A call that would take me 2 minutes is taking them 15 minutes. Our shared email box is not being shared evenly (read that as I am taking them all) so I have gone from ending the day with 10 emails to ending the day with 125 and a list of people to call back.

I’m so stressed I went home sick at lunch time today for the first time in over 10 years, but still logged on tonight to try and catch up. I even worked when I had covid.

I just feel broken and don’t even have the energy to look for a new job. We are getting a 4th person, who worked with us previously and works at the same speed and to same standard as me. But we are not getting him for 4-5 weeks.

I am doing a team leader job for csa pay. It might be time to stand up for myself and say either I get more support or I get a substantial payrise (but what’s the point of more money if I’m too burnt out to enjoy it)

Sorry for the rant but I know people here will get it.
