This call occurred when I was working as a technical support supervisor/escalated technician.

M is me and C is the customer. Ms. C has called in and immediately requested a transfer from the Tier 1 rep without allowing them to assist. Despite several attempts to assist the customer, I get the call.

M: Thank you for waiting, my name is im_mr_b-

C: Are you a supervisor?

M: Yes I am.

C: Okay, then get me a higher technician.

M: Ma’am-

C: Higher technician!

M: So ma’am, I am a supervisor and also an escalated technician.

C: Do you think I was born yesterday?! That’s not how call centers work! You must be new.

M: Been here several years. Have you worked here?

C: No?

M: Ah. How can I help you?

Ms. C’s issue: She needed to update her Windows OS.
