Customer thinks all technology should be caught up to Apple

I work for an e-commerce that sells a rechargeable item and it charges using a USB to USB C cable. We do not provide the wall adapter.

This customer called in furious because she had no wall adapters that fit a USB because she had Apple products which had all switched to adapters that used a USB C. According to her we should automatically follow whatever Apple is doing because they are the dominant Tech company in the world. I tried to explain that we had no affiliation with Apple and that a lot of companies still used USB ends to plug into a wall adapters.

She then wanted me to reimburse her for having to go out and buy a new wall adapter except for the fact she purchased it through a store not directly through us. She didn’t understand how we couldn’t refund her when we are not the ones that received your payment.
