I finally got out of my auto insurance call center job after 4 years. I’m moving into a role at a different company where I own my own files and basically get to set my own days the way I like to work and I don’t have to be on the phone all day! I’m sure I’ll still get shitty customers but at least it won’t be full weeks of just incoming calls with no other tasks to break up them up. I’m so glad to be out of that toxic ass environment (coworkers and boss were great, anyone higher than my manager were out of touch and fucked us at every turn) but I feel kind of guilty for leaving. I guess it’s just the side effect of leaving a job that promises the world but gives you shit instead 🤷🏻♂️
