Why call if you don’t trust me?

Super annoyed. Just got a call from one of our members who was concerned about an email he got from us. His phone number didn’t pull his account right away so I waited while he told me about the email he got.

I said “Oh, that’s the email confirming you purchased another product from us!”

He says “Ohhh! I didn’t read it all the way through! I see that now! Makes sense!”

So I say, “Great, let’s get your account pulled up so we can verify everything is up to date for the new product!”

And the guy goes “No, I don’t think so. I don’t feel comfortable talking to you, this could be a scam.”

So we both pause. The silence drags for a minute. Then I say “Well sir, you did call us to confirm the email.”

He says “Right. But now that I know it’s just my receipt I could have called a scam number so I’m not comfortable with this.”

Silence.

“…ok. Well have a nice day.”

“You too ma’am! Thank you!”

Why are people so annoying?? You called the number in the email, I told you what the email was, and you concluded I may be a scam. Wtffffff.
