I’ve lost my customer voice.

Been working in different call centres the past 10 years. In my current one 4 years and I’ve finally lost my customer voice.

The pandemic has really made people even more entitled and rude and I’m done with it. It started a few weeks ago when I was really tired and a family member had just passed away. Some guy was rambling on about how everything is my fault blah blah blah.

I tried to explain how he can fix his issue several times but everyone I got interrupted by more rambling.

Eventually I sternly said “will you just shut up and listen to me and I can fix your problem”

He went dead silent and eventually muttered an ok.

Best feeling ever. Trying not to make a habit of it but it’s very addictive.

Tell me about the time a customer pushed you over the edge and you lost your customer voice.
