I finally quit the call centre industry! I started out working part time at a call centre back in 2019, while studying full time.
As luck would have it, I graduated right when covid hit and opportunities in my field dwindled. I switched call centres in early 2020 and stuck with one until yesterday.
Although I stopped taking calls a few months ago, I was still doing menial, repetitive tasks and feeling pressured due to the high stress, stats driven environment at the call centre.
I finally found a job in my own field and I start in 2 weeks!! To those still hoping to get out of this industry I give you my remaining strength. Stay strong! Something will pull through.
