I work for a large corporation helping families of our deceased employees file for life insurance. Just got off the phone with the sister of a late employee and had this exchange.
ME: So the claim processing time is usually 2-4 weeks. If the claim is approved, I will mail the checks to you.
Sister: Ok, and I need you to send it where I can sign for it.
ME: I’m sorry but we only send the checks via regular first class mail.
Sister: Ok well then you can call me and give me a heads up.
Didn’t ask just proclaimed that I would do it. Any guess what I am definitely NOT going to do once the checks are ready?
