I work in ID theft and the last two days digital wallets with a certain company have been massively hacked making our call volume insane. Making our wait times 1-2 hours. Each one being 10-15 min of explaining apologizing, and calming people down. When we closed we still had 200+ calls in queue. I stayed an extra 30 min over my shift the last two days. And even those unaffected but have to talk to us about something simple still have to wait. This isn’t going away anytime soon and I’m already on the verge of burnout. At the end of the day I can barely speak. Any tips on at least keeping my voice by the end of the day?
