This is my first job in a call center, so I was just wondering about how our breaks are “supposed” to work. So we get two 15 minute breaks everyday. The policy is supposed to be that if we have to use the restroom, get water etc and it’s not during our scheduled break, we have to deduct the time spent away from one of our 15 min breaks. Ex: I go to the bathroom for 3 mins, my next break can only be 12 minutes. Is this a normal practice for call centers?
