First day at a call center

…and it was a raging dumpster fire for myself. First call, I panicked and hung up. There wasn’t anyone talking immediately, and my brain was somehow struggling to form words and just said nope. Second call was going okay, until the warm transfer. I hit the wrong button too quickly, then tried to leave the conference as quietly as possible, only to realize too late I was shoved into another call. And then ANOTHER call after I tried to log out.

I’m still in training, and they extended our training another day. Everyone sympathized with me, but I feel like such an idiot. I’ve never done calls before and only worked retail. I even prepped a script and was okay during the mock calls. I dunno what the hell happened during the live calls to cause me to panic so badly…
