Ridiculously high bill confusion

I worked for Nextel 17 years ago, before the Sprint merge. I was in the catchall customer service call center. We did it all, trouble shooting, bill disputes, etc. One day I got a call from a very angry man, he needed to discuss some over charges on his account. The customer had a fleet of phones, he owned a trucking outfit. His bill was typically $150 for one of his employees but somehow that month it was in the THOUSANDS. I was confused, he was confused. I started going through the call log, I informed the fella that his employee was making long distance calls late at night. Well. The man was upset. He prattled on about how the employee was sleeping in his cab at those hours so there MUST be a mistake. Ok, I investigate further. The man is calling the Bahamas. This caused further confusion with the customer, he again went on about the employee being asleep at those hours. So. I asked the man to hold, that I’d dig deeper. I pull up the phone number that he had been calling and dialed it myself. Can you make a guess of what I heard? A sex chat line. Yep. So I get back on the phone, by that time the man has lightened up and we were friendly to each other. I giggle then explain the situation. The dude was super chill and told me that he needed to have a talk with his employee. The call ended sweetly and the issue was resolved.

Tl;dr bill was thousands more than it should be, investigated and found it was his employee calling sex lines.
