Ah today’s is short!
So I work for a health insurance company. We administer benefits for some employer groups’s FSAs/HSAs (flexible spending accounts/health savings accounts). The exchange was short but funny.
Member: yea hi I was looking at my account online and I can see that my payment card is suspended. This is weird because I didn’t receive a payment card ever!
Me: ok. I can definitely help you with that. (Pulling up Account and viewing claims) ok it looks like you may have had an appointment on (date).
Member: oh yea I did have an appointment then!
Me: ok. You used your payment card on that date for those services. We just need an itemized statement from the provider to verify eligible expense.
Member: oh…
