Alrighty then

Mobile, sorry. Some customers just really take the cake. Leave you scratching your head and saying “alrighty then.” I got a call this week from a customer who had questions about why she had received a new card. Because her card is part of a major conversion move, I have answered the same questions and delivered the same spiel about a million times, give or take. So I start telling her about the process her card is a part of, what she can expect, and follow up details. Keep in mind that my company is very much about NO paper and everything is digital. The next words out of customer’s mouth are, “Yeah, I’m going to need you to transfer me to someone who knows what they’re talking about, not just reading off a script like you are. I need someone who is experienced.” So alrighty then, I thought as I advised her to hold please. Boy did I want to take her on in a battle of wits, but seeing that she didn’t have any it would have been unfair.
