Just had an unexpected follow up

I work in a customer service/sales outbound call center setting. So yesterday I called a customer(Cx) to let him know a business he works with purchased a product for him to use if he would like to use it and the convo went like this.

Me: hello my name is __, I’m calling on behalf of __ one of your brokers with a billing update. How are you today?

Cx: oh I want cash, give me the cash

Me: sir I don’t handle the payments I’m just letting you know that your broker has a new preferred method for you to send paperwork through if it is helpful for you.

Cx: I know who you are and I want my money, give me cash or a check you are taking too long.

Me: sir you must have me confused with someone else, I just want to send you an email with this information now if I could get a good email address from you.

Cx: No I want cash I don’t want a fucking email, you need to pay me now!!!

Me: Sir, I’m sorry but I can’t help you with this problem and if you won’t give me an email I want to thank you for your time and have a good day.

Cx: Pay me, no wait fuck you!

Me: click…went to go talk to my supervisor.

Fast forward to today getting an incoming call after lunch

Me: Hello this is ___ how can I help you?

Cx: Hi what the fuck are you doing?!

Me: Excuse me?

Cx: Yes, what the fuck are you doing you left me a message!!

Me: Click.

People that have no idea what is going on are the most annoying to deal with.
