Different format to this one, I’ve actually got THREE dialogs. They are as follows:
Me – Me
DT – Deaf ****
IS – My inner-self.
Me: Good morning *company name* **** speaking….
DT: HELLO MY NAME IS ****** ****** I’VE BEEN IN HOSPITAL I WANT TO RESTART DELIVERIES FROM TOMORROW
Me: What’s your postcode?
DT: IS THAT OKAY?
IS: Brilliant, he’s deaf
Me: WHAT’S YOUR POSTCODE?!?!
DT: *Gives me postcode and surprise surprise it’s wrong*
Me: *Mutes the phone* can someone make me a coffee please, I’m gonna be on this one a while…
DT: SO I’LL LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING IT TOMORROW…
Me: NO YOUR POSTCODE IS WRONG!
DT: You want my telephone number?
IS: Why do deaf people use the phone if they can’t hear?!?!?
Me: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS I’LL TRY AND LOOK UP YOUR POSTCODE?
DT: Brilliant thank you!
IS: Just let him hang up, you’ve done what you can…
Me: I DON’T HAVE YOUR DETAILS…
DT: *Repeats name* IT’S A SCOTTISH NAME
IS: It could be a Neptunion name and I’d still be non the wiser.
Me: WHAT…IS…YOUR…ADD…RESS?!
DT: *Gives me the first line of the address*
Me: OKAY AND WHERE IS THAT?
DT: AT THE BOTTOM JUST OFF THE ROUNDABOUT…
Me: NO I MEAN WHERE IN THE COUNTRY ARE YOU?
DT: Could I have a delivery today?
IS: No you can have a delivery when you get someone that can hear to phone!
Me: NO BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
DT: No that’s fine, tomorrow will do then…
Me: IS THERE ANYONE ELSE THERE THAT CAN HELP YOU?
IS: Please Lord…Though if I find out there is someone else there after all this I’ll go spare…
DT: No, the Nurse offered to ring for me but I wanted to do it myself!
IS: OH SWEET LORD IN HELL!!!!!!
Me: I THINK I’M GOING TO HAVE TO GIVE YOU YOUR LOCAL NUMBER…
DT: My telephone number?
IS: Why didn’t I try harder in school?!
Tried to give him the number (for the people who would need less information) and very much followed the same pattern. Trying to give a number to a deaf person is just tedious.
I know it’s not his fault but why make a phone call when you know you can’t hear?!?!? Send an email, get someone else to phone, you were offered someone else making the call but no you decided to ring anyway knowing you can’t ****ing hear! :@
