It happens almost every holiday. “Thank you for calling [company], my name is [name], how may I help you?” “They’re making you work on [holiday]?” Usually I was polite, but last Christmas I heard it too many times. “We are here waiting for your call, sir. Once your business is complete we’ll turn off the phones and go home.”
I don’t know why I don’t work there any more.
