Making a customer happy had never felt so good!

Hey guys! I’m back to tell another feel good story. Like I said in my last post, I absolutely love my job. This is another reason why.

I had a customer call up for travel insurance. She would’ve been around 28-30. She had called a few places and had been denied due to her daughter’s medical condition.

See, her right year old daughter had just been diagnosed with epilepsy. They were told that over time they’d go away. Essentially it’s a type, and I don’t know about epilepsy, that she’d grow out of.

So I’m talking away, going through the quote and for the first time in my life I did a medical assessment. I didn’t want this poor woman to to bounce through another department and then back to us and get another consultant.

Then the results came back. It was a nervous wait and those 30 seconds felt like 30 minutes. She’s talking away and I interior her. “She’s been accepted.” And it took her a couple of seconds to realise what I’d said. You can hear the relief and excitement in her voice.

And in that moment, that was one of the view times a customer had almost made me cry. And I never thought it would be in the sweetest way. I felt like if shared the best news of her life with her even though it wasn’t even close.

She took out the policy and thanked me profusely. I was just glad that it was one less worry that she had to deal with.
