Just a quick wholesome one. I’m working now with accounts that were closed due to non-payment. It’s in the consumer’s best interest to still try to satisfy the debt, so we can update their credit history from charged off to formerly charged off, settled/paid in full, but they can do it on their own schedule, since there’s no more late fees/interest on a closed account. I had a woman call in to make a payment.
Her: Thank you, I appreciate you very much!
Me: (well, she paid and she doesn’t have to.) I appreciate you as well! Have a good afternoon!
Her: You have a BETTER afternoon! -hangs up-
