A colleague of mine recently took a call from a customer who complained we never made her payment to her.
After an investigation which involved teaching the cheque we sent, it was established that:
- She received her cheque 3 weeks ago
- She already sent to her bank to deposit it
- The money was sitting in her bank account waiting for her!
When my colleague explained this to the customer, instead of admitting she might have made a mistake, she insisted she would remember something like that! She said she was going to speak to her bank about it, and didn’t even apologise for being so side to my colleague!
