client gets irritated because i did not talk when she was talking

me: Greeting procedure

caller: hello my name is (and without missing a beat or stopping talking) and i ned from youuuuuu (the word got longer and longer so i waited till she stopped talking, so i could respond – i thought she was maybe gathering her thought to form the sentence?)

caller (irritated): Hello are you there?

me: yes, hello mrs caller, i did not want to talk over you

caller: but you did not say something

me: because you were talking and i did not want to talk over you 🙂

caller: ooooh (lightbulbmoment)
