I’ve done helpdesk, and sales. For many places. Lottery, Verizon cell plans, business electrical service, car warranties, home warranties lol, contacts subscriptions, life insurance, and more. Whatever makes that commission, usually.
But the best worst was a service offerring to advertise people’s time share units and RVs for sale. The pitch included “we’ll print your ad in our own monthly sales magazine”
It was our own magazine because only one copy was printed each month, our own physical copy. No marketing or potential customers even existed. For 500 bucks, you could get an ad that will run for a year, in one copy that sits in a drawer. I quit when I found that shit out. I’m not a scumbag.
