No, that won’t work for me

I work in the call center for a financial institution and we have a check hold policy that is pretty much standard in the industry. I received a call the other night from a customer asking if funds were going to be held on his check and how long. I asked him what type of check it was and how much it was for. He said it was an insurance check for $11,000, so I explained how and when the funds would be available. He says, ” no that isn’t going to work, Christmas is coming and I need that money now”. Um, sir you are a chronic overdrafter with no money in your account. He called back a minute later to try again. 😅
