Cold calling the whooooole office

As in most offices we have a general customer services number, and then we each have our direct number.

Over the last few days cold callers, wanting to discuss a “recent accident” we have all apparently had, have somehow obtained everyone’s direct numbers. So many conversations have gone like this today.

Me: Usual spiel.

Them: Hello, my names Jessica, how are you today?

Me: Fine thank you.

Them: I am calling about a recent car accident you have had lately-

Me: Yeah we are a business. Please remove my number from your directory.

Rinse and repeat…like 15 times in one day. They have tried everyone’s phone. I’m surprise the ceo isn’t next!
