Insane Person 2

I deal with insane people on a regular basis at a performing arts school, this is the story of one of the first insane people I had to deal with.

A few weeks prior, I had contacted the parent to confirm their payment plan and card information, all was good or so I thought…

B will be bank representative

C & D will be the parents, who were both on the call

R will be me

B: Hello, This is B with Bank Name, I have C & D on the line, I am calling today as they have contacted to dispute the charges on their account.

I ask for their child’s name so I can pull up their account

R: I have in my records here that I confirmed the payment information with C on DATE

C: You’re lying, I’ve never spoken to you before. Nobody told me you were going to charge my account. I want my money back.

R: (confused) Are you FULL NAME?

C: Yeah but I never talked to anyone, I don’t know anything about payments. I need you to credit my account.

R: Ok, I’m sorry to hear that but I did confirm this information with you before setting up automatic payments.

C: LISTEN HERE, BITCH. I NEED THAT MONEY BACK. YOU’RE A LIAR AND THIS IS BULLSHIT. FUCK YOU.

D: (both are yelling over the phone at the same time) WE WANT OUR FUCKING MONEY BACK BITCH. WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE.

They kept yelling and cursing at me so I removed the receiver from my ear until they stopped.

R: If you would like to cancel, please review our cancellation policy on your contract. There is no refund due at this time but we can discontinue the monthly payments once we receive your cancellation notice.

They go off again

C & D yelling over each other: WE DIDN’T SIGN ANY CONTRACT. THIS IS BULLSHIT. GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK OR WERE GOING TO COME TO YOUR OFFICE YOU FUCKING BITCH.

They’re still yelling and I raise my voice

R: I am looking at the signed copy of your contract and it says here ( I read word by word the portion that says they authorized the payments)

They keep yelling and finally B gets back on the phone.

B: Mr & Mrs C & D, We can dispute the charges if you’d like but it does appear they have a copy of your contract in which you authorized the payments. Thank you for your time R, I will complete the call with C& D, you will be disconnected.

We never received any disputed charges from the bank and they never called again, or at least I didn’t speak to them again.
