I had a lady call in for one of our primary care clinics today who said that she cancelled her appointments or today a few minutes ago and wanted to know if she could have it back. It wasn’t even a symptom visit. It was a wellness exam so it’s not like it was an emergency.
I pulled up the schedule and as I expected, that appointment was gone. I told her as much and she gets all upset that we gave it away within a few minutes and demanded I call the clinic to find out for sure.
I called the clinic and was put on hold so I just went back to her a minute later and told her it’s gone. I wanted to tell her that we have a couple hundred people scheduling at any given time and that same day appointments are always in high demand so I’m sure it went to someone with an actual symptom. People can be so freaking entitled.
