This happened yesterday and I’m just dumbfounded. I work for a cell carrier in the US for reference.
Me: usual greeting spiel Lady: Yes I’m just wonder if I get charged for phone calls while I’m here in Hawaii? Me: Ma’am you’re still in the US. Lady: I know but do I get charged for making charges to the other islands? Me: Again, ma’am you’re still in the US. Hawaii is a US state. You’re not going to get charged. Lady: Oh! Thanks!
Like, what? My supervisor was listening to that call and he was dying at his desk laughing so hard.
