Customer made me cry for the first time

So i work for retail, we buy jewelry (not expensive) and I got this call from a customer who’s name I cannot forget.

We start the call fine, he asks on the status of this order so I pull it up and informed him this was already delivered by the carrier a day before. We use the system where the carrier picks the package from our warehouse and they hand it to the post office and they are the ones who deliver to the customer. Post office does not provide insurance to packages so basically the customer has to dispute the charges (fucked up, its a pain in the ass and everyone hates it) so I informed the customer that If he did not receive it he can check with this local post office since sometimes the packages stay there. He starts yelling at me stating how “lazy” I was and I was the one responsible for contacting the post office, like I care for this man’s package…anyways he asks for a supervisor and I message mine and she tells me just send him to my VM so I do. Then she sends me a message that I was wrong for what I did because basically the post office did not make the delivery, it was the first carrier and I needed to file a claim, mind you 2 weeks ago the person in charge of the claims told us even if the carrier does not hand it to the post office the claim does not apply.

Then I get a call…and it’s the same man and he’s PISSED, he starts telling me how disrespectful I am, how lazy I am because I should be the one interested in his package arriving, I apologize and tell him we are filing the claim, I do it and give him the time frame, he starts yelling at me AGAIN and telling me that he’s does not want to wait, after he asks for my name and I obviously give it to him, and he starts demanding for my employee number and my last name, we are a really small department (8-9 people) so I tell him sir, I do not have an employee number and I cannot provide you with my last name per the company’s policy but I’m the one with my name on this department so they will know you are referring to me, he yells at me I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE YOU OUR FOR DINNER I WANT TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST YOU, I and I respond “sir you are more than welcome to, since I am the only [my name] working on this department, management will know you are talking about me, the he yells “YOU ARE SO USELESS AND LAZY, YOU DONT WANT TO WORK” and then hangs up. After he did it I immediately starts crying, I’ve never been treated this way before by a customer and I spoke to my manager about it.

I am scared because the way our queue works it’s that they redirect the calls from numbers you’ve previously spoke with, that’s why I got him the second time right away and if he calls again there is a huge probability I will get him. Sorry for the rant I just hate how people want us to magically solve everything for them when I couldn’t give two shits about him or his package not arriving.
