So we got called into a meeting today to be told our department is going from 4 people to 2, and we’re moving to another building much further away. “Apparently” it’s to align us with another department who will “help us out if the phones are busy” which we can’t see happening as they don’t have time to do their own work and don’t answer their own phones.

They’re giving a £2k payrise.

After digesting this we emailed them back saying, we’ve not had a payrise in over 10 years, there’s a cost of living crisis, between the two of us who are going we’ve got 30 years experience with the company and not to blow our own trumpets, not a single person can match our experience or knowledge….. so we want £5.5k. If they accept, great I’ll give it a go….. if not, both of us have got our CV’s ready and won’t hesitate to get out of there.
