I work in collections for a credit card company. I take both inbound and make outbound calls. Today I received one of the worst calls I’ve ever taken.
It was inbound and I answered with my standard greeting, asking for their account number.
They then start calling me a bitch and telling me to shove my “fake phone number” up my ass in this stupid little voice they’ve put on.
I try to tell them this is /really/ the collections department, but they scream over me and call me a scamming cunt. I tell them I need them to calm down, they continue the abuse. I disconnected the call.
Jokes on them, if we’re calling them it means their account is past due and they’re being reported to credit bureaus. If you google the number it literally says who the number is. The thing that dumbfounded me is that they had to call us to get to me.
What a lovely way to start my shift, I love being called names by ignorant twats.
