High drama at the call centre

It’s been getting unbearable for a while already. The calls have been back to back, and now what happened nearly pushed me past the edge. The story ahead might be a long one, and hopefully you’ll be willing to read and perhaps give some advice:

I work for an outsourcing company that has a massive shoe/apparel company as a client, who we take calls for. It used to be a very bearable job, as we had a decent former boss, but now we have one who constantly hands out warnings, and I’m not sure if she likes to hand them out just for fun, or for what reason

On the other hand there’s a current or former employee (not sure if they sacked her) who was very active in the team, very unstable emotionally, and apparently committed fraud involving orders. She’s currently suspended with pay (didn’t know that was possible) and the company is deciding what to do with her. She’ll most likely get sacked, but given how insane the company is, who knows.

Anyway, so fraud girl was sending me messages saying that the company is trying to sack her. Today I received a “meeting form” saying that I wasn’t seen by the camera. The facial recognition camera system does not work at all but the company rolled it out anyway, so it doesn’t recognise anyone’s faces or capture stills, and the pc does not work when it’s connected. I agreed it being implemented as I had no choice and need to work. Yes, it’s absolute shit, but it is what it is.

So after fraud girl said that the company is trying to sack her, and then me getting this “meeting form” bs, I freaked out, had a full blown panic attack, blacked out, nearly passed out, got up, and went back to work. I’m prone to very disorientating anxiety/panic attacks and thought that what she said was real, of the company trying to sack people just for fun.

So in the midst of the panic attack I spoke to my new boss and a girl from QA and said that they’re trying to sack me just for fun, and that the communication between employee/boss is horrible, as the boss does not answer, and I do not trust her. The boss then told me not to worry and to ignore the “meeting form”. I still explained the situation and now I don’t know what they’ll come up with.

Any advice will be welcome. Have day off today and cannot rest because of this. I’m not sure what they’ll come up with now.
