A story of my worst call close ever.

I work in a call centre for a large financial institution, with a client base primarily elderly people.

After assisting a 91 year old client with a number of enquiries, I proceeded to close the call.

“Thanks for calling (elderly lady), it’s been a pleasure speaking with you, and enjoy the rest of your time with us!”

Instant shame and I terminated the call before she could react.
