This happens to me regularly, anyone else?!
Me: Hi you’re through to xx telecom, can I get your telephone number please?
Customer: its 1234567
Me: thank you, can I get the name on the account please?
Cust: Yes, It’s John Smith.
Me: I have different name here.
Cust: oh, what is it?
Me: I cannot tell you that, it’s for data protection
Cust: Thats ridiculous, I gave you my telephone number!
These people get angry because it is THEIR data I’m protecting
