I work for a casino so of course when you win some money, you gotta report it to the good ole’ IRS.
With the deadline pretty much next week, we are getting last minute guests trying to get their tax documents to file their taxes. C:caller
Me: “Thank you for calling ___ casino, my name is Tacos, how may I assist you?”
C:”Yes I would like to get my tax documents since I’m going to file my taxes this week”
Me:”Okay, I will be able to assist you for putting in the request for your tax documents and may I have your account information?”
Proceeds to give me their account # and verifies their account information.
Me:”Just so that you’re aware, and I understand this is a little inconvenient but processing time and delivery could take up to 2-3 weeks for you to receive your tax documents.”
C:”WHAT!? But I need them to do my taxes soon! Can’t you email me my information? Or at least tell me the numbers?”
Me:”Unfortunately the only delivery option for tax documents is through mail and I don’t have access to tax information”
C:”Can you expedite it for me please!?”
Me:”I’m sorry, but there is no option to expedite documents”
C:”Why aren’t you guys like the other casinos where you automatically send the documents, this is so inconvenient, I can’t believe your company doesn’t do that!?”
In my head, all I’m thinking of, “lack of planning on your end does not constitute an emergency on mine… (sighs)
Me:”Again, I do apologize for the inconvenience, I went ahead and submitted the request to be sent. Maybe with the tax season slowing down, processing time may take less but it’s not guaranteed that you will receive it soon. Our expected delivery time is 2-3 weeks.”
C:”Yeah thanks” with a crappy tone and hangs up.
