Yes, Sir, your credit score matters.

I used to work for a major bank, and being that I handled customer service my day was usually payment this balance that etc for credit cards.

Then of course credit limit increases. Income plays a role in approval of course—- but if your score is garbage it’s too risky to let someone a line of credit. (you’d think people would think of this as common knowledge)

The fun ensues when I have a customer just rip at me because they feel the need to screech “Well I make over 12 million a year why can’t I even have this credit card increased !?!?” “You’ll get a letter in the mail in 7-10 business days explaining why. “

Doesn’t matter if you make millions a year but if your credit score is 400, you’re more or less out of luck to some degree.

Not sure why people didn’t seem to grasp that but needed to rant that off.
