Working for a major retail company (doing emails seasonally thank God) we are unable to cancel our change anything about your order at my company (rhymes with Fap/bold gravy/ manana sumbublic/ mathleta/ bill spitty lol)
I swear, if I read one more reply to our template of “your order has already started to process and we’re unable to change/cancel/sprinkle fairy dust on your order” with them saying “but Amazon does it” I’m going to respond “please reach out to Amazon to see if they can get this cancelled”
Like, Amazon isn’t even a competitor of ours. Would you inquire to a clothing store about getting a flat screen TV, when they say they don’t have them, say “but Amazon does!”?

I also love how people have been super inconvenienced by super trivial shit so they can get a discount for their troubles. I had a guy email how training and the box ordered got wet because UPS guy package outside. On the phones I normally say “oh no, that! What did ups say contacted them wet box?” But I can’t emails. We’re allowed to hand out courtesy codes like candy. I do the bare minimum 10% or $7 to waive shipping (unless we really did screw up, I offer 20% on top of our already constant sales).
Ugh, I’m just not even in the mood to live out a real life r/choosingbeggars scenario 50x a day.
