Obviously I’m here because I work in a call center. Not just any call center, I specifically deal with portable restrooms.
Most of our units go out for construction work and are serviced weekly. I get a lot of calls about service being missed, people screaming about the condition and offering to send me pictures. I politely decline.
Occasionally we miss a pickup and the property owner calls, or the owner calls and the contactor just hasn’t called it in yet. (Most people don’t realize it takes about 1-3 business days for drop off/pickup) this wasn’t one of those times. I’m used to being verbally abused but this dude took it to the next level.
Me for me, and RA for rude asshole.
Me: Thank you for calling ____, my name is Ninja, how may I help you?
RA: Yeah, this toilet has been on my property and for too long and every day that it’s here I’m charging you $20. Where do I send your bill?
Me: Well, sir. If you don’t have work going on at your property and we have a unit there I’d be happy to send someone over to get it. Could you just give me the address or street name so I can see if we have any open orders for that area?
RA: WELL YOU’RE GONNA HAVE PAY FOR IT I NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO SEND YOUR BILL. We had work on a phone tower but they’re gone now!
Me: I’m sorry sir but the contractor is responsible for calling in to have it picked up. If you can give me information to locate the order I’d be happy to contact them for confirmation.
RA: Fine. It’s 1000 Elkorn, random city.
Me: Thank you. Is the street name two words or one?
RA: E-L-K-O-R-N you fucking idiot.
Me: Sorry sir, in my system it has to be specific when searching by address. One moment please.
RA: asshole grumbling
Me: I’m sorry sir but the street name you gave me isn’t showing in my system. Do you have a cross street or company name for me to locate it?
RA: LISTEN YOU FUCKING CUNT, I NEED THIS POTTY GONE. GET ME TO YOUR FUCKING SUPERVISOR OR SO HELP ME GOD I WILL CHAIN YOU TO IT. YOU INCOMPETENT LITTLE GIRL I WILL…
Me: I’m sorry but you are being extremely disrespectful and I now have grounds to terminate this call. Thank you for calling ___ have a great day!

After this I took a few minutes to calm down. Then I started looking up different variations of the street name. It was ELK HORN. I end up finding the order and check the notes. Another rep worked on it after me had the pleasure of dealing with this asshole. He told her he would stuff her inside it. Sometimes I love reading the notes.
Turns out, we had a unit there through a construction company. The dickwad calling was the boyfriend of the property owner. We got in touch with the contractor and he told us how awful RA was during their project and to just let him know that it will be off-site soon.
This rep took great pleasure in calling him back and letting him know it would be off in a few business days, but he just hung up without saying a word. She then entered the ticket for four days later.
