I work in a banks call centre in UK. We sent out some postcards to long term customers thanking them for their loyalty “thanks for staying with us for 5years” etc. A customer called me to say he would like to be compensated for 1. The time it took him to shred this postcard (which had no personal details on whatsoever so didnt really need shredding) and 2. The time taken on the phone to call to ask for compensation.
