This actually happened to a girl I work with. We were customer service in a bank and often dealt with many dickheads (and some lovely people too might I add)
Anyway, she had had a particularly rough call with this woman, who was crying through most of the call. Once the girl had sorted the problem the woman calmed down a lot and stopped crying.
Figuring all the was good the girl innocently said ‘go out your feet up and have a drink’ The woman immediately started crying again and said ‘I would… but I’ve got no feet’
Bonus story, another mate of mine answered al call and said he would like to set up a new mandate. He then the replied ‘I think you’ve rang the wrong number sir, this is (bank) I believe you need a gay chat line’ didn’t go down to well haha
