“I’m having a baby!”

First post here, this is more of a funny and lighthearted post

So I work in cab dispatch, working night shift on a Saturday night, call comes in

Me: ******** cabs, what’s your pickup address?

Caller: OI I need a cab for me mate, he’s off his head tonight

meanwhile in the background, is another guy WAILING and SCREAMING and going nuts, and yelling “aaaaaaaii’mm having a f****kin baaaabbyyyyy”

Caller to the background guy: OI stop yelling I’m on the phone

still wailing in the background

I start to snicker and laugh a bit because this is honestly the funniest thing I’d heard in ages, but trying to hold it in

Caller: the address is **************** keeps getting interrupted by the wailing guy

And the caller also starts laughing at this point, and I lost it myself, my supervisor looks at me and gives this look of “wtf” and that was it, I was pretty much dying at this point, but managed to type the details in and dispatch the job.

I hung up the call and my supervisor asked me what just happened and I told them and my co workers, we were laughing about it for about 30 minutes afterwards, it was too much for us to handle.

Tldr: drunk man thinks he’s in labour, chaos ensues
