How can I learn to enjoy an outbound call center?

I’m only two weeks into this job but I need it to pay off my bills and the schedule is perfect for me. Basically spend all day 10-6:30pm calling locals to see if they’re interested in getting their bathrooms remodeled.

As you can imagine, I get a lot of voicemails, “TAKE MY NUMBER OFF YOUR CALL LIST”, “NOT interested”.

Literally the only appointments I’ve been able to book are old ladies who don’t realize the “free” estimate I am offering is going to be at least $10,000 if they wish to go through with it.

Zero brain stimulation, I’m not doing anything of importance except bothering people.

In the past I worked for a large hotel call center that was such a fun job. People would call ME and I helped them plan their dream vacations, resolve issues with their rewards account, etc. Sure there were some nasty people but at least it was ENTERTAINING. And rewarding and satisfying when you can hang up knowing you made someone happy.

How do I learn to enjoy this job? I’m losing my mind. Help.

TLDR: outbound telemarketing is a really difficult job to enjoy. Help me get through it please.
