So I don’t work in an actual call center but I do spend a good chunk of my day answering phones,and due to current events 90% of client interaction is over the phone.
This happened maybe 5 minutes ago.
Me: Hi this is (my department)
Man: Hey do you know if (question very specific to not my department)
Me: That would be a question for (other department). I can transfer you to the operator so they can send your call there.
Man: (Clearly not listening) Oh yeah, do you know if (repeats question)
Me: I don’t know. Let me transfer to someone who does. (Sends him to operator)
Please just listen for once in your life man.
