Shut down by Secret Service

In 1999 I worked in a government contracted call center that assisted students in filling out federal aid forms for tuition. I got a call one day from a man who had been denied due to a drug conviction. After explaining the appeal process, he became irate and threatened to rape a high profile government officials family member. My supervisor had been monitoring my call and dropped my line immediately. Soon after, all phone lines, computers, and anything that had a line of communication was knocked out. We were in a total blackout, ordered by the Secret Service, while they attempted to locate the caller. 2 hours down for one statement I’m sure that man regrets to this day.
