I file auto insurance claims. One of our insured members called us when they were at the scene of their accident. She put the guy she rear-ended on the phone because he wanted to verify if she had auto insurance…I verified that for him. The guy proceeded to ask me “Why doesn’t she have her insurance information on her?”
There was an awkward silence for about 8 seconds because I didn’t know how I should answer that without sounding rude.
He’s like “hello?”
“Yes, I’m still here sir.”
“So if you guys send her insurance cards. why does she not have it on her?”
Why aren’t you asking HER that? How would I know?
Anyway, he asked to speak to my supervisor after I responded with. “That would be a great question for her.”
