Rant

I work in a call center, but remotely. We are open 8am – 8pm every day, 365 days of the year. Why do customers wait until 5 minutes before we close to call us with a super lengthy query? I swear they do it on purpose. They’ve had literally 12 hours to make the call, but choose to do so with 5 minutes to spare? It’s giving the same energy as people who turn up at a restaurant 5 minutes before closing and expect to be seated and have a meal cooked for them. We should legally be about to say “well, we just closed so looks like your time is up. Call back tomorrow” and just end the call
