Personally I always dreamt that I’d work in a giant grey office, strap a telephone to my face for 11 hours and get shouted at.
No, really I did want to do some kind of office job, a call centre wasn’t it!
I worked for the big red mobile network here in the UK, before the first iPhones came out and it has to be the worst job I’ve ever done. I was good at my job, met all of their imaginary KPI’s that they’d constantly change and manipulate, I even stayed in training when I found out that part of the job was “Promotion”, sales in any other language. Yes now that you’ve shouted at me for 20 minutes because you gave a 12 year old a contract telephone, would you like another line?
