I used to work at a call center. We took calls for a pretty popular operating system. Someone in the call center was so tired of some lady that they had her format her boot sector and reboot. Without more tech savvy than you’d need if you are calling us, this turned her computer into a brick.
She called back screaming, and someone pushed the record button. This was in the 90’s and I’ll never get that scream out of my head. “I want him dead!”. She screamed a lot more of course, but that’s the part I remember.
Working in a call center gave me nightmares. They were worse after hearing that.
