So, back in my call centre days at one particular place, I had to use my personal laptop for work. Everyone at that call centre had to, except a few.
I knew it wasn’t ideal but my tax agent helped me claim my laptop on tax so I was fine with it.
Obviously I’d take it home at the end of the day; at one point they tried to convince me to leave it there so others could use it to work (Wtf?).
I’d had to turn down 3 seperate managers who wanted me to unlock my laptop during my lunch break for various someone-elses to use.
But the real doozy was, when I left, they tried to tell me since I’d claimed my laptop on tax, I had to leave it behind, since it (somehow) made it theirs?
Fun times. Fun times.
